■ 12:57 (UTC±00:00 +DST), 10 APR 2016 | GBR HARROW, GREATER LONDON
I will be talking about China and urbanisation at the London Book Fair, which will be held at Olympia Exhibition Centre. For further details as to where you can find me, follow me on Twitter (@DavidFeng).
I am expected to talk around 15:55 on Tuesday, 12 April 2016, although I might begin a few minutes earlier depending actual situations, so if you’re coming, I advise you to come around 5-10 minutes before time.
The talk on urbanisation will also coincide with the release of a new series of books on China urbanisation. In addition to remaining active in the China media world, I will also be taking an increasingly closer look at China’s urbanisation. In fact, if you’ve been reading through my posts a few years back, this must be nothing new: Ever since I’ve gotten my driving licence, it’s been hard to staple me to my chair. Heading east from Beijing, I’ve been to a great many cities and I’ve seen for myself what urbanisation in China really means.
A key player in the whole urbanisation process in China will also be infrastructure, with high speed rail probably the most visible achievement, so I’ll probably dip into that as well. My miles around Chinese cities are plenty, as I’ve been to just around a hundred cities in the entire Greater China area.
There’s more information about the book fair at londonbookfair.co.uk. I hope to see you there! ■ ■ ■
